Kia ora Taryn, we are so grateful and wish to pass on our thanks for the beautiful donation your team has gifted to the Marae.

We were told as a recipient of the wonderful packs of sausages and mince that the name of the cow was Strawberry. With these packs of meat, it will assist to feed many families in the Auckland Region.

The Marae assist with food parcels to many elders in the surrounding suburbs and TPMM - Manaaki Tangata e Rua (Emergency Housing Programme) assist MSD and MOH with food and Care Packs for many families isolating households with C19 in Auckland. The donation of meat given will be a great help towards our food distribution. TPMM MTeR - is one of 11 providers made up of Health / MOE / Maraes - distributing food and care packs out to people of Auckland from Te Hana to the Bombay Hills. We all help under the Taumata Korero umbrella.

Once again thank you, keep well and safe,

Nga mihi

“I was a bit unsure at first about actually knowing the animal you’re about to eat. But when you visit Taryn’s farm, you can see that the animals are treated with such respect and kindness (I suspect that Taryn would starve herself before letting an animal go hungry). The home-kill guy that Taryn recommended is superb. The meat was packaged in nice meal-size packs, the mince is lean, and everything is tender. I would do this again (once I’ve saved up a bit).”

“Hi Taryn, thank you for your delivery of beef from our shared cow, Rosa. Our family of 6 plus friends have been enjoying the end product in its various cuts. The taste and texture is amazing. As one of my sons has exclaimed “we can’t go back to the ‘normal’ beef from the supermarket.” This is our new normal: a cow that has lived and eaten well, carefully butchered with no additives and packaged for ease of storage. I have a very happy and well-fed family, and as a cook I am enjoying the main ingredient in the wonderful meals I can now serve. Thank you, Taryn. From concept to execution your biodynamic principles in farming have served us well.”
